Dr. Murphy is committed to providing the best possible outcome for the patient, offering both non–surgical and surgical treatment options. If spine surgery is necessary, he utilizes the most advanced techniques and minimally invasive approaches available. Depending on the procedure, hospitalization may be needed, though some can be done in an out–patient setting, allowing the patient to often go home the same day.

Anterior Cervical Corpectomy & Fusion (ACCF)
This procedure is very similar to the ACDF (Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion) except that either a part or all of the vertebral bone is removed along with the discs next to it.

Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF)
This surgery is typically performed in the very low lumbar back area referred to as the lumbosacral joint or L5-S1 level.

Laminectomy With or Without Fusion
